Betr Picks may be quite unique when compared to other fantasy sports platforms, but I found the signup process to be very familiar and straightforward. The only thing I discovered that might get some of your goats up is that you cannot register via the website. I’m always a bit wary about celebrity-endorsed fantasy sports and betting apps, but I have to say that this one lived up to the billing. Before I talk about the app in detail though, I’d first like to talk you through the website.
As I said in the above section of my Betr Picks review, you cannot actually play fantasy sports on the web platform. However, the website does exist, and it definitely has its uses.
On the home page, you can scroll down to find digestible information about the fantasy sports and micro-betting services offered on the app. Additionally, the “About Us” page is headed with an eight-minute explanatory video guide.
This could easily have been reduced to four minutes if you cut out some of Jake Paul’s self-congratulatory BS. But nevertheless, it is incredibly informative and undeniably you can’t take your eyes off it.
You can also access the social media platforms directly from the website and download the app via the button at the top of your screen. The site has a black background with purple branding that gives it an overall cool aesthetic.
Background – Jake Paul and Joey Levy’s brainchild
As I have mentioned already throughout my Betr Picks review, Jake Paul is very much front and center of everything to do with this brand. However, here is merely the face and the mouthpiece of Betr.
His co-founder and CEO, Joey Levy is the brains behind the operation and appears to be doing a pretty good job. As a young tech entrepreneur, his CV before Betr Picks isn’t massively impressive.
That being said, he has managed to create an innovative and very successful fantasy sports and micro-betting app with a $300m+ turnover in just a couple of years. Moreover, he managed to convince a giant celebrity and social media influencer like Jake Pau to get on board from the get-go, so he must be doing something right.
Reputation – A transparent, innovative and popular DFS app
The best way to sum up this section of my Betr Picks review is by saying that Paul and Levy have largely managed to impress and upset the right people in equal measure.
While the aggressive social media marketing fronted by Jake Paul is in your face and bordering on abrasive it works. More importantly, it is backed up by total transparency. All of the faces and bios of every team member can be found in the “About Us” section of the website.
This has helped to build trust right from the get-go, and the huge social media presence has heightened their engagement with their target audience. Among its users, Betr Picks is immensely popular, as its 4.7 star App Store rating testifies.
Upsetting the applecart…in a good way
When it comes to industry reputation, this platform has been praised by those it would have sought to impress and derided by those it would have wanted to peeve off. Young industry experts who welcome innovation and change have spoken highly of the app. Hence why my own Betr Picks review has been largely positive.
On the other hand, the old hacks with their billion-dollar outdated fantasy sports apps have been less than impressed. But any business worth its salt should be annoying its competitors if it wants to be successful.
Player experience – Simple and user-friendly
In this section of my Betr Picks review, I’ll focus on the overall player experience. The biggest challenge that innovators face is convincing people that their innovation is something they need in their lives.
Fortunately, Betr Picks has succeeded in making its service palatable and easy to follow. Once you have downloaded the app, you will find that you almost sail through the experience naturally.
The app helps you every step of the pack, and making your first picks is a straightforward experience. You just need to pick your preferred league, choose between two and eight players, enter your entry fee and you’re good to go.

We’ve now reached the most important part, so let’s finally take a look at what I thought of the app. As you would expect from young and tech-savvy entrepreneurs, this app looks good and appears to be built to the highest spec.
Everything has been specifically designed for the small touch screen, and I found that space is used efficiently. As I said above, finding your preferred leagues, and players and making your picks is a seamless experience. The only thing missing are more international DFS options – for example, you cannot make Premier League daily fantasy picks on the app.
I was eleven pleasantly surprised in some areas where I had expected to come across some negatives. Given Jake Paul’s nature, I was anticipating plenty of pop-up videos and adverts promoting his other products or upcoming fights and had even priced it into my thinking.
However, the apps very much leave you alone for the most part. The only promotions for Jake Paul that you will see are in banners at the top of the app when he has a fight coming up. This can actually benefit you as a player as special prices tend to be offered.
Payments - Making deposits and withdrawals
If you want to make an instant deposit into your Betr Picks account, which of course, we all do, then debit cards and PayPal are the two available options here. There are no hidden fees and you can deposit $5 or more. Remember that, as I said earlier in this Betr Picks review, you need to deposit a minimum of $10 to get the welcome offer.
If you want to make a larger deposit and maintain complete privacy, you can use ACH, but the payment will take three to five business days to process. However, in a world of hackers, thieves and internet sharks, I understand that the processing time might be a price worth paying to add an extra layer of privacy protection.
Withdrawals
As is the case with deposits, debit cards and PayPal are the two best payment methods if you want fast withdrawals. When I used these options it took between 24 and 72 hours to receive my funds, which isn’t too bad in the grand scheme of things.
Alternatively, you can use IBT to withdraw your funds in larger amounts. The first time that you do this, it will take up to five days just for the withdrawal request to be cleared and approved. However, subsequent IBT withdrawals will be cleared within 24 hours.
On top of that, you have to factor in three to five business days for the actual payment processing. In total, this means that IBT withdrawals can take between four to 10 business days before the money is in your account.
Customer service - Next level social media game and decent support
Let me walk you through the customer service journey here. When I first ran into a problem, I clicked on the “Contact Us” page, which first opened the help center in a new window.
Here, you can search the keyword of your problem and find all articles relating to it. For basic troubleshooting, you should be able to find the answers that you are looking for here.
In the help center, there is a live chat widget in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. However, you will at first be chatting with a bot, which is kinda annoying.
I therefore recommend using the email service if you want to get through to an actual human being straight away. On the whole, I found Betr to be helpful and responsive through this medium.
Social media
As I have mentioned already in my Betr Picks review, this brand has a very strong social media game. You can find plenty of useful content, including video guides and podcasts, on the YouTube and TikTok channels.
Additionally, you can also reach out to the team on Instagram and social media. To sum everything up here, the customer service is passable, but Betr Pick’s social media game really is next level.
License and security - Is Betr Picks legit?
Betr Picks is a legit fantasy sports operator that is legally available in over 20 US states. Additionally, the brand has betting licenses in Ohio, Virginia and Massachusetts.
I’m not going to bore you with technical jargon and software names, but I can assure you that the site is safe and secure. Additionally, while you do have to disclose a lot of personal data in the name of security, your privacy is well maintained.
Prohibited countries – Where is Betr Picks legal?
You have probably already guessed from the tone of my Betr Picks review thus far that this is currently a US-only product. It is not yet available in Canada, Europe or anywhere else in the world.
Rewards and loyalty program - Players may be rewarded
When doing my research for this Betr Picks review, I couldn’t find any information about a specific loyalty program. However, it is clearly stated in the T&Cs that players can be rewarded for their loyalty.
Rather than being done through a program though, this appears to be conducted on an ad-hoc basis at the company’s discretion. On the other hand, you can find plenty of offers for all existing players, including special prices and more.
